Happy New Year !!!

I have a question about the Eugenio C. I know she was buildt for service from Italy-South America.did she ever do any Arpind the World Cruise in the late 1970s-early 1980s ??

Yes, EUGENIO made her first World Cruise in October 1977. It was 75 days round-trip from Genoa, and she carried 850 passengers. It was such a success that the following year she made another world cruise.

I believe these were her only world cruises, although she made a 'Round Africa cruise in 1967, and of course many other shorter cruises in the Med. and South America.

She made more long cruises but I am not sure about how many world cruises in total. Every August she made a long cruise catering to the Europeans who take the month off. She made several visits to NYC and the USA in the August time frame. Also she often made a long February cruise from South America tied to the Mardi Gras celebrations.

What a wonderful ship .... I long to sail on her .....

Did she ever visit Australia in stead of Japan on her world cruises?

EUGENIO C's two world cruises had nearly identical itineraries, and she did not visit Australia.

Eugenio C passed through Suez canal and Panama canal in 1977 and 1978.
She visited only Northern Hemisphere ports except Mombasa, Seychelles and Bali on her second cruise that's why I ask to SSTRAVELER if she ever visit Australia port(s) and excluding the port of call at Japan Port, Hong Kong and/or China port on another world cruises(neither '77 nor '78 world cruises) ?
