After this short tour we where directed to our location on board the ROTTERDAM. First my location was the theater but changed to the YES Ritz Carlton now named Grand Ballroom. And wow in real she's more beautiful then on pictures and video. Around 13.30 the drill start by the alarm going off and within 7 minutes or so we where on the pier. We have to wait if the drill was given OK. Other wise we where to board again and do it al over. But the drill was successful. And we where not allowed back a/b the Rotterdam and guided of the pier.
But we received a Little present, and a free tour of the Rotterdam on a shoosen day after February 15 2010.
A speedy day with not very much to see. But to set food on the ROTTERDAM was fore me and many others a very emotional experience.
Here a collage of pictures shot (was not allowed but hey everybody was making pictures)And in the video section a small video of the test.
Greetings Ben.
I too am very anxious to see what they have done with the ship, but stepping on board will not be that emotional to me. I did have that moment in July 2004 in Gibraltar, when I stepped aboard again after 45 years.
I just have to wait till the end of January.
