Hi,
I am now transfering all My old 8mm movies to DVD format.
The old movies has lot of interesting shots that I have not seen for years, included some ocean liners & ferrys from 1980/81.

Here are some cruise ships on their way to and from Geiranger in 1980-81, location about 1 hr boatride from Geiranger:

In the summer of 1981 My family went from Oslo to Newcastle aboard the M/S "England". This movie includes some interesting shots from the harbor of Newcastle, where we can see Fred Olsen`s "Blenheim" and DFDS "Dana Gloria" :

Wonderful videos, I loved them. Wasn't the BLENHEIM a Sea Escape ship one time?

The former Blenheim later sailed as Discovery 1 for Discovery Cruise Lines. Discovery 1 was burned-out in the mid-1990s and later scrapped.

Thank you lasuvidaboy, I couldn't recall her name as the DISCOVERY 1, but I could recall how she looked. I also recall the news story that showed what a passenger took of a video of smoke and some fire coming out of her stack. I still have a photo of her from one of my last cruises to Freeport where she stayed for several years.
