Hello!!!

I have another reguest, does anyone have any deck plans of the 1956 BERGENSFJORD? It was later sold to Cruise East and renamed RASA SA YANG for cruises in the Far East. This ship seemed to me a better OSLOFJORD. I had a deck plan of this ship years ago. My Dad was less than enthused about my interest in cruise ships and threw away all my brochures one time and this one was in that bunch. The worst part was he said he did'nt do it!!

Tom....There is a Bergensfjord deckplan available at this site.http://www.nautiques.net/browse.cfm/4,7425.html

I have bought from this man before and found him very reputable and swift in sending. I found a SS Stavangerfjord deckplan thru him. I loved both she and her sister Bergensfjord and crossed with them several times while growing up.

Cheers, Penny

Tom, I have a number of beautiful, detailed deck plans of BERGENSFJORD, as well as her later incarnations as DE GRASSE and RASA SAYANG. However, they are all huge, elaborate tissue affairs which simply cannot be scanned and reproduced here.

You may be interested in viewing an album of BERGENSFJORD interiors that I put together here on CT a couple of years ago:

Penny,

I second this - I have been buying from Don and his predecessor, Leon, for over a decade.

Tom - you can purcahse deck plans rather inexpensively and if you can't find what you are looking for, just tell Don and he'll keep an eye out.

Another place to look is on Ebay.

Happy hunting!

Tim

Oh my Rich...didn't that album bring back memories. How I loved that Horseshoe Bar and that wonderful carving on the wall.....and so many nights dancing in the Tourist lounge. She was a lovely ship and it broke my heart when she burned.

Thank you for posting this...it brought back long ago memories of the young woman I was back then and the fun I had crossing to Norway on her. QM2 took me to Norway this summer but as I sailed up Oslofjord it was the many trips up the fjord on these two sisters that was in my heart and mind. Seeing the very large model of my beloved Stavangerfjord in the Maritime Museum in Oslo was a must for me that day.

Cheers, Penny
