After her liner services with CCN ended in the early 1970s, she was converted into an accommodation ship for use in various parts of the world. I think she would have been greatly changed on board, and it was too late to convert her for cruising. I'm sure the vessel was abused and damaged by the time she was scrapped at Alang in 2001.

PRINCIPE PERFEITO (1961)Lisbon
Built by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Limited, at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK Yard #16419,393 GRT625 x 78.4 feet
This makes sense - same ship yard as Vistafjord around the same time as Sagafjord (it was pointed out she was built in France - but did all three ships share the samearchitect?)...I also found the funnel reminiscient of the two. The forward lounge also reminds meof the Garden Lounge on both sisters...
Further reading also indicated the only reason Vistafjord was built at Swan Hunter only because the yard in France went out of business...
Maybe the design similarity is simply a co-incidence...

Thanks for all the posts ! I think some of these more obscure ships are more interesting than the Queens and the Big U!! It seems to me that in the 70s some of these ships would have been put back into service as cruise ships! I like them but Some of these shkips are more interresting to me.My favorite of course was the LEONARDO DA VINCI. Its sad she did not last longer than 20 years.TCS
