Andrew, beautiful shots. May I ask what slide scanner you used and how fast are you finding it. I have hundreds of ship tours on slides that I want toscan but the time required to do so is prohibitive. Any slide scanner recommendations are appreciated.

Hi Guy's, I'm using a Minolta Dimage Scan Elite II. Its a few years old and a bit of a pain to use, but once you get to grips with it, its ok.
The main thing is seeing images taken all those years ago on the screen and the ability to treat them as digital images.

Any other questions, fire away, if I can answer them, I will.

Just marvelous photos indeed. Photos numbers 1 and 3 are so good, you'd think they were painted by an artist. You had a very good camera to take them.

These are fantastic photos that deserve to be seen by a wider audience.
How about putting them up on Shipspotting.com also.

Do you think P&O will ever revive the name ?

It's one of those things that even today is still held in high regard, so I just can't see them putting it on to another box boat, but maybe if P&O were to do something special ???

I would have liked them to have used the name when Aurora came into service. Would have been nice to have had a new Oriana and a new Canberra. Never liked Aurora as a name for a ship particularly.
