Nice pic on the website. I hadn't realised they do not even have planning permission for the project yet....

Looking at the scale of their proposal they are going to have to find a huge investment somewhere to pay for all the shoreside development, refurbishment of the ship etc etc. all which they have yet to cost never mind raise the funds.

Wish them luck.

Probably cheaper to gut her and refurb her for SOLAS etc etc with the SAL look / funnels and keep her at sea.

From what i know the budget is set to150 million sek. That was about a year ago they said that so it may have changed. they also said that financing will not be a problem, or that it is already clear. the guy behind the plans is the owner of a pretty big company group, so i asume he have some contacts, or even will put in some money himself

Err financing not a problem ?

I suspect things might have changed dramatically.

We know he has said he has the money to buy her (the 150 million sek is that amount I believe) the rest was to come from other parties/banks etc. Given that amount is still unknown.........the terminal they illistrate would cost at least US $10 million then you have the services, car park, berth to create, marketing then only can you add the refurb on top - all of which has to come from private money as the municipality will not spend one cent, could be a big mountain to climb.........I would guess a US $150 million IF nothing goes wrong.

No idea but considering they have to redo all wiring, soft furnishings, air con, plumbing, galleys etc and will probably tear down most cabins etc......
