The Brooklyn terminal I found to be a very efficient place. The Marriott Marquie is in Manhattan about 5 miles away but it will take you at least 20 minutes or more (depending on traffic) to get there. You can easily take a cab from the terminal into Manhattan. You could do mass transit but there are no subway lines at the terminal. You would have to walk some ways off of the terminal grounds into Redhook to get a subway. And I would not recommend taking luggage on the subway. Its best to get a cab since they will be outside the terminal. Have a great cruise and enjoy NYC! You will be staying in the heart of midtown Manhattan, you can't get better then that.
