I also have some Interesting photos of the Big U while she was in Norfolk.

Very nice pictures specially those of the Norway.

It stuck me that the interior of the US was quite bland fore a ship of here statue. Those artworks in the staircase are quite ugly.....

That's one of my favorites too! I use to watch the Chalks planes take off from the deck of the cruise ships...Miami was and is such a busy and wonderful place.

The scrappers usually seem to leave the funnel uptakes in place until later in the scrapping process. I recall images of Canberra and uptakes were in place after all the surrounding decks had been removed.

So much for #1 funnel being preserved!
