In the first picture does anyone know who the little 'futuristic' ship is? I haven't a clue.
Pam
Not up near the Corran ferry, is it?
Quite historic photos apart from the vessel.

"Built by Fairfields on the Clyde in 1910 with 3 funnels as Princess Adelaide for the Canadian Pacific Railway Company (3,016 GRT). Sold to Typaldos Lines in 1949; renamed Angelika and rebuilt with one funnel. Operated year round on ferry-cum-cruise schedules from Brindisi, taking in Piraeus. Remained in Mediterranean service until 1967 (aged 57). Reportedly sold for use as a floating restaurant in South Africa; but scrapped in Genoa during 1968."
The photos show Angelika at Sami, Kefalonia, before the earthquake of 1953 destroyed the town. Some more photos of Kefalonia before the earthquake can be found here, which includes another different picture of Angelika there [no 10].
Still no idea on the other ship shown?
I saw both the Angelika and the Aegaeon in Corfu in 1963 and 1964 and I think they were on a weekly service from Venice to Pireaus and possibly onto Crete
Pireaus harbour on a Monday morning in the mid 60s was full of former Canadian and British steamers a real treasure trove for those interested in ships.
I can't help about the other ship in the first photo but it looks a bit like something that has been converted into a stern loaded car ferry. In the 50s and 60s some very odd craft were converted and the Greeks were great at putting on pieces of metal to give a steamlined effect.
