Shipgeek is a wonderful site. With wonderful footage of the United States. In the Liner home movie hé have some wonderful home movies of other ships to such the departure of the tss. Rotterdam frome New York. And a Atlantic crossing with the tss. Volendam in 1937 in color. This movie is verry rare because you see pré war Rotterdam in color. Also caught on film is the tss. Rotterdam 4 of 1908. You guess that this HAL Fan almost go mad seeing this movie. Here the links.

EVERONE SHOULD WATCH THESE VIDEO’S.(Especially NCL management)

Desirod7, some great movies with a wonderful use of music. Thanks for sharing. The quality and colours of the films are great. You-tube is really become a great resource whatever one is interested in.

The tortoise (turtle?) race was interesting (link one). It would not be allowed now. They were even betting on them!

Malcome the turtle races where common activity on the liners, just as horse racing and balroom dance les.

I have to explore that site more, I watched a film of the SS FRance and Liberte' and leaving New York you could plainly see the United States in port, and when the France arrived at Southhampton you could see the Queen Mary, and not static displays but working ships.

That's great stuff. I love the one entitled "Legend of the SS United States." The music from ""Legend of 1900" makes it particularly poignant. That was a great film. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor. I own a copy on DVD.
