I have an obscure book with many great photos of ship interiors, and I thought I'd share some photos. Can anyone identify from the following photo which ship has such an elaborate lounge? Watch out Farcus. An elaborate decor taken to the extreme

Anyone know which ship this lounge belongs to?

How would you like to eat in this dining room?

This observation lounge is on what ship?

Snow on the Zenith?

Nice pictures, thank you for posting.

The first picture has been taken aboard the Conte Grande.

The second picture could be aboard Reina del Pacifico. (if I remember the name correctly)

The third picture is aboard Santa Rosa.

I am not sure about the observation lounge.

I like the picture of Zenith.

Farcus is indeed following the trandition of how many liners were decorated.

This is probably going to sound realy dumb is the obsevation lounge from the Queen Elizabeth?

Cunard Fan, no sorry, it's not the Queen Elizabeth, but it is an observation lounge on a Cunard ship.

Check out this Massive dance floor

I was among the staff that brought the Zenith from the shipyard in Germany to the states when she was brand new. This picture was taken during our ten day Atlantic crossing, and one day we got a lot of snow on deck. (Barryboat pictured on the far right).

Le Barryboat I like the Zenith pictures. Do you have more of her from the ship yard? I always love the Horizonand Zenith. Is that Amanda (social hostess) behind the crowd in the picture? She was once in an A&E cable special here in the US titled the cruise. The special/documentary took place on the madien cruise of the Galaxy. She was also social hostess of the Infinity when I sailed Alaska in 2001. She seemed very nice as I and my family spoke with her at the repeaters party. At that time she had worked every Celebrity ship.

I've never sailed on Celebrity and didn't expect to recognise anyone in the photo, but that face looked familiar. It wasn't until I read your comment that it clicked. Amanda Reid was social hostess on QM2 in February this year.

Yes that is indeed Amanda Reid. She was Social Hostess aboard the Zenith, but she had also worked previously aboard the QE2 as a dancer for I think 12 years before going to Celebrity. That picture was in 1992 aboard the Zenith...when I add it up in my head, Amanda has been working on the ships for about 28 years. I also bumped into Amanda when she was Social Hostess aboard the Century and the Galaxy. I'm not surprised she is now working aboard the QM2. When I worked with her on the Zenith she was always very nice.

nycruiser, I do have a ton of photos of Zenith when she was brand new from the shipyard. Lots of stories too.
