I agree with you on the comments about the Matson ships.
It is a pity that other ship builders could not produce ships of the same quality
You only have to look at the two P&O passenger ships built in 1954.
Arcadia which was built by John Brown and the Iberia built by Harland and Wolff.
Arcadia lasted for nearly 30 years but the Iberia was sold for breaking at only 18 years old after a series of mechanical problems and breakdowns.
