Nice idea Mat! We have discussed similar ideas in the past. An alternative concept was for NCL to refit and run the SS Norway as a luxury product, rather than a cookie-cutter and upgrade her engines for transatlantic crossings.
However, the success and appeal of the QM2 proves that Cunard can still provide their ‘traditional’ style product with a brand new ship. Refurbishing an aging ocean Liner is not good business. They already have one, after all.
