Hi everybody, I'm desperately looking for any kind of plans of the SS Normandie... I've been surfing around (a lot) but couldn't find anything worth it... Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Look for an early 1970s reprint from 'The Shipbuilder'. The books were from the Ocean Liners of The Past series and the book on Normandie was #5 of the collection. The complete title of the book is: "The French Line Quadruple Screw Turbo Electric Liner Normandie" It was republished by the New York Graphic Society in 1971. There are excellent mechanical, elevation and deck plan drawings of the ship featured in the book.

Hello and welcome onboard,

There aren’t many good ship plans on the internet, not many people know how to scan such large plans properly or post them on the net so that they don’t loose their quality.

I have send you an e-mail.

Best, Onno

I find it generally difficult to get (proper) plans of passenger ships. Also there are much less models than one would expect, but this is a different topic.

It`s not on the beautiful Normandie, and I am still "busy" with some other models, but I am interested in plans of the following ships:

Illiria
Crystal Harmony
(there are plans of the C. Symphony available (in an for me inappropriate scale), but not of the C. Harmony)
Atlas (former Ryndam)
and maybe the Galaxy or the Sagafjord

Does anyone know where I could get informations?
Thank You!

Not very clean and proper images, but you might be interested in going there on my website and then choose the files you want. Some of them were on my HD for quite a long time (from Internet several years ago) and I had scanned the others ones for another CruiseTalker about 2 years ago.

En passant et tant que j'y suis, bienvenue à bord Mathieu!

Bonjour Matthieu,

Bonne chance mon ami!
