It tied up at our back door, back in the '70s when we lived in Southwest Washington. At 15-foot draft it was no problem. A cute and pudgy little ship, those who sailed on her had a good time, it was reported.

We lived in the SW Quadrant of Washington, DC. Ships drawing 15' or less, including "Eagle" and other tall ships, tied up at the municipal (Police and Fireboat) pier on the Washington Channel.
