Please check up on some dates for me, as I have photos of Caronia at three port calls and should I post them, I wish to have the proper dates. I went aboard for a visit on her port call in Yokohama in 1954. I thought it was part of a round-the-world cruise, as the newspapers reported it at the time. There was much made of the "load of millionaires" who were making the visit, and the JTB made a big deal out of it as well.
The next time I went aboard for a visit, was in 1955. I believe that was also part of a round-the-world cruise.
The last time I saw her was in Hong Kong in either 1963 or 1964.
Can you tell me the dates?

As I posted on Jul 31, Caronia made her first visit on Japan / South Pacific Cruise from New York via South Pacific Islands ,Oceania and South East Asia.
She visited to Kobe from March 31 to April 2 and Yokohama from April 3 to 6 1954.
In 1955, She called at Kobe from April 6 to 8 and Yokohama from April 9 to 12, 1955 on RTW cruise.
I assumed her calls at Hong Kong from March 2 to 4 1963 and March 27 to 30 1964.

I already saw the deck plans. The difference is between Smoking room and Cruise office on Main deck/Aft only.Smoking Room Portside was used for Cruise Office and Rest of room was named Raleigh room when cruising.

I'm sure that Caronia was expected to arrival at Quarantine Anchorage 6am on April 4 and tender to Landing Stage at Navy wharves by Launch though couldn't called at Okinawa due to rough seas and arrived at Kobe 7am on April 6, 1955.
P.S. On her second visit to Nagasaki, Caronia dropped anchor at Quarantine Anchorage 7am on April 5, 1959 but because of rough seas. Ship's Launch carried only 28 passengers who joined Overland excursion.
