I uploaded a new update of my site, this time it is sort of a nostalgic/classic ship update featuring:
- A ship file of the Assedo, which unexpectedly went to the scrapers last November. (She will be missed for she was a great ship to photograph!)
- A ship file and special onboard tour article with pictures of the Mercy Ship Anastasis the former Lloyd Triestino liner Victoria. About a year ago I had the opportunity to tour the Anastasis and even though she is a hospital ship she’s a real time capsule. Much of her original decoration is still in place and gives an impression of how she looked in her glory days. Being from 1953 makes her amongst the oldest ships still sailing and though she is up to current safety standards the upcoming solas rules will make it very hard to keep her in business.
The updates are marked with the word NEW and the Anastasis tour article can be found under “ship articles” in the main menu.

Great article! I've often been curious about Mercy Ships, and you've confirmed my suspicion. That these are classic working ships without fanfare, yet beautiful and graceful. Thanks for sharing your pictures! Great Site - very artistic.

Thanks for the article....great photos of a neat little ship. I've always like her and her three sister's profile...rather speedy looking.
