According to the QM2 event, I thought she would turn only one time and would berth with her bow down-river(port-side) like photo below (from Malcolm's photo gallery).

Actually, she was turned twice for the first time at the head of the Western Docks and the second time at the lower turning basins.

Amazing how beautiful a ship can look from one angle, and how ugly from another... That stern is just awful.

Reminds me of SEA PRINCESS/VICTORIA/MONA LISA, which also had a gorgeous front half and a terrible aft end - but then that was a badly done refit, this is the original design! (Admittedly QM2 is nowhere near as bad...)

I don't think it looks bad...it looks better than the stern of a Celebrity M-Class ship....or a Grand Class ship...or Pride of America, of a Festival Ship....or.....

QM2 isnt as nice to look at stern on as the other Queens, but it sure beats the sky s craper effect seen on so many new ships - dont you think?

It sure does. It definitley beats out the Grand Princess, Voyager class, the latest Carnival ships. at least it makes an attempt to taper down. It is very large though, but that's small compared to "Skywalkers"
