I just found an article from the Copenhagen Post about an expedition to look for the Hans Hedtoft. If you don't know the Hans Hedtoft was a ship lost in 1959 after striking an iceberg and sinking on her maiden voyage will all hands. It is a very interesting story. Below are a few links that tell the story of this sad, and forgotten ship.

I have wondered abouth that ship ever since reading, relatively brief articles about her loss at the time. I have always felt that the story was under-reported, compared to, for example, an aircraft crash with similar losses of life.

Aside from the Titanic and the Hans Hedtoft, have there been any other confirmed loses of passenger ships to icebergs?

After all this ship was operating in an era of radar, good communications, the International Ice Patrol and similar, and unlike Titanic, was operating in an area in which icebergs were common.

Does anyone know how it happened and/or have more details?

Interesting. I have read about her before, and recall the lifebouy that turned up on Iceland is now in a church in Greenland. I also believe that many of South Greenland national archives went down with her?
I think we should be able to follow progress on this site. All in Danish at present, but maybe there will be an English version when the expedition is under way as on the Flying Enterprise one.
