What with all the talk of Sitmar lately, I thought it might be a good time to bring up a few questions about FAIRSKY (1984)...

First, does anyone remember her original interiors or know what changes were made to her over the years?

Second, I have occasionally heard that the design was actually modified from that of some sort of containership... Has anyone got more information about this rumor?

Thanks. Having been on this lovely vessel in 1998 I would especially like to know how much of the decor (or lack thereof) that I saw was actually original, and how much was the usual bland stuff that is installed in anything Princess can get their hands on...

I am pretty sure Princess ripped out the Sitmar interiors once they took over and then when it became PACIFIC SKY, more changes were also done.

I read somewhere that the FAIRSKY, was built really cheap and the design being done to the PRINCIPE PERFEITO, was somehow incorporated into the newbuild FAIRSKY.

I sailed on the Fairsky back in May 1985. This was a real treat since it was practically new. I remember it to be very nicely decorated. Has been many years but maybe I can answer questions. Loved all the Sitmar ships..sailed with them many times. A shame they are not still around.
