Well it was just a movie, after all! Maybe people do get electrocuted on sinking ships? It's possibly quicker than drowning?
I would imagine that the titanic mainly only had electric lighting. I don't imagine that there were power sockets in cabins or portable electric appliances such as hairdryers and electric razors, for that matter. They had not been invented then?
I'm no electrician, but I do know that electricution depends not just on voltage but how many amps. Maybe the ampage was low? You also need to be earther to get electricuted? Maybe you are not on a ship?
