Hi every one !
It's kinda getting slow around here so I wanted to do a photo trivia if that's ok ?
This one is kinda easy,

1) Name the cruise ship and shipping line
2) Approximately the year the photo was taken
3) Location of ship in photo

Easy? I don't know Clue? I don't have any books and she doesn't quite match anything on a 4-funnel ship page I found.

The first question is easy: MAURETANIA I of Cunard Line.

The second is more tricky considering that she was painted in white for in 1933 sailed to the breakers with those colours in 1935.
So if this is a colour postcard of her final cruising days I have to say it's most like to be in 1934.

I don't know how to answer the third question because I don't have the smallest clue of a possible location.
I'm have a hint towards Panama Canal but I can be wrong.

Best regards

Paulo Mestre

The ship is Cunards Mauretania, photo taken during her cruising years. From the condition of the ship and the surrounds I would say it was taken in 1933 in the West Indies.

All grate guesses !

The ship is the Mauretania of the Cunard Line just before the merge with the White Star Line, the year is early 1934. The place she is at is West Indies or possibly Cuba.

I would have loved to taken a cruise on Mauretania, I know it would have been hot with no air-conditioning and outdated bathrooms but Mauretania cruising would have been like British classic's meets Caribbean flavor.
Some of the best ships come from Ireland

Great pic, Draikar. There's not too many shots of the Mauretania in cruise livery, even in B&W.

Hey BigUFan,
I got that photo from a scrap book this woman had when she went on a cruise on Mauretania, it may have been Mauretania last cruise before White Star Line merged with Cunard Line. There is another photo from her book that is one of the best I have seen, maybe I will post it here later. Sadly I only have 5 photos from the book, I would have more but I lost the bid on the book, I bid $730.00 but someone bid at the last moment bid $735.00 and when I tried to bid $800.00 the bid ended.
I do have a few photo's of her cruising with a white hull.
