Does anyone have comments on Royal Olympic's World Renicance? We are looking for some possibile cruises next year. If we can't afford Europe then maybe Cape Canaveral Cruise line will do. I will be glad if anyone has some decent pictures of her.

Commodore, I can only tell you that the ship gets a pretty low score in the Current Berlitz guide: 2.5 stars. Ship, Accomodation, Food, Service and the general cruise are rated quite low. This web site rates her slightly higher at 3 stars.

Remeber World Renaissance was one of the uplaid ships after the "Express Samina" accident because of not up to (mostly fire) standards.

I sailed on the World Renaissance in 1994.
Old ship, needs renovation.
Food is strictly budget.
Two swimming pools outside, sea water, not
possible to heat it.
No whirl pools.
One poor elevator.
Noisy, diesel smoke in the lower decks.
Service is not memorable, as is the food.

For beginners when they get a very special price (extremely cheap) it may be acceptable,
the official prices in catalogues are too expensive for what you get.

2 stars plus is correct rating in Berlitz 2000, and more is not the truth.
