Formerly Edinburgh Castle. I am planning a cruise in October and would like info on cabins, etc. Can anyone give me any info.? Thank you.

I have not been on the Edinburgh Castle myself but a friend has and said that the cabins are larger than the "standard" ones. This ship was previously an Italian vessel and seems to retain some of that European style and flair for design.

While the vessel was owned and run by Direct Holidays it did not have a good reputation and was decommisioned because of all the technical problems and subsequent bad publicity. This had more to do with the management style than the actual standard of the ship from what I read in the Scottish papers.

Can't help but agree. You're far better off with Carnival than you are with Premier. This is clearly a company that has no intention of remaining in business, let alone remaining competitive. Sounds like they're begging to be bought out by an outfit that has a real management team.
