In every case; I'll give it a try.

And this is the main point: she has been there since December 1989! So she propably isn't in the best possible condition!
The bay of Eleusis has seen through time some great names of ships adorning it. Among them was the famous America of the United States Lines. Having being bought by the Greek-owned Chandris Lines in 1964 and used for the immigrant trade to Australia, as Australis, and later renamed Italis, she was laid up here since 1979 and stayed till the first years of the nineteens. Meanwhile she changed name at least twice (Noga in 1980, Alferdoss in 1984). I have heard that it was cut in two and sank in the Atlantic, outside North Africa, while transported to become a floating hotel or casino.Another famous ocean liner that spent some time laid up here was the Bremen (V), the last flagship of the North German Lloyd. This also was sold to Chandris Lines in 1971 and became the cruise ship Regina Magna. But the rising in oil prices in 1973 made this old, heavy ship uneconomical and thus in 1974 was laid up here for three years, before being sold as an accomodation ship in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. And last, a lovely American-built liner, the Malolo, later Matsonia, of the Matson Lines. Sold to Greek-owned Home Lines in 1948, renamed Atlantic and later Queen Frederica, a much beloved ship in the Piraeus - New York route, ended her days here, laid up between 1972 to 1978.The bay of Eleusis has wittnessed the fiery end of two, at least, famous liners: The De Grass (II) of the French Line, as Rasa Sayang, in 1980; and the famous Flandre, of the same line, as Pallas Athena, having caught fire in the port of Piraeus in 1994, was towed here. And I'm sure others can remember many more famous or less famous ocean liners that found hospitality here...
