NCL recently touted that it received a A+ by the BBB (Better Business Bureau).

Interesting that overall Carnival Corp. received a C and Costa (a Carnival Corp Brand) has received an F.

I guess they are not very good at responding to and resolving customer complaints.

Kudos to NCL on this one!

Interesting. Costa I know for a fact had less than par customer service. I was a travel agent for 10 years and Costa was hard to deal with. They provided no support for both guests and travel agents. I'm surprised about NCL though my memories were of a pleasent shorseside staff but they messed up so much and their customer service dept wasn't so hot. But then again I left travel in 2007 so I guess things have changed!

To be honest the NCL rating surprises me too. They are not exactly known for their customer service. I think Princess received an A as well and this doesn't surprise me. They are a very well run cruise line.

I've been lucky in that on over 40 cruises there has only been one incident which required post cruise contact with the cruise line. There was an incident on a shore tour that resulted in serious injury to a few, discomfort to all, and a loss of belongings to two of us. It was a camera and video camera and binoculars. Princess shipboard staff met us at the gangway on return to Dawn Princess, flew head office staff to the next port of call in Acapulco to interview and assist those with injuries during the remainder of the voyage, and contacted us all once home. Princess was excellent to deal with and could not be faulted at all. So, I know for sure that their customer service is very good!!

no surprise that Princess rated well. Had a excellent time with them and was great to see everything run smoothly... No surprise at all with Costas rating.. had a very poor experience with them and there overall product reflects a profits first situation....

I wonder if the head office is going to be shaking some things up over at Costa in order to get the ratings up.

Costa have only received 12 complaints but the BBB seem to have insufficient info about the size of the company and have therefore put them in the smallest category. Probably why it comes out as an F.
