Looks as if the Bahamas Celebration has moved to her new home port today? I went on thier website and it now says Palm Beach but nothing else. Why does this Company not invest $1000 into a great website designer instead of that boring one they have? Do you get excited looking at the current one? Do you know where in the world GBI is? The picture of the ship is a cartoon. The new video is the right direction though however I never saw anybody dressed that nice on Regal Empress. Well maybe in a couple of weeks I can post a review of my own.

She departs from Port Everglades tonight 10 PM for West Palm Beach. I've seen their website too, it could use some serious revamping.

She's already in Palm Beach, sailing this afternoon on her first cruise to GBI (which stands for Grand Bahama Island.) The cruise lines don't like to say "Freeport", which is an industrial port miles away from the beaches, resorts, and casinos they promote.

Has anyone heard how well she is doing since her move to Palm Beach? I wonder if the fact that they dropped Nassau from the port of call impacted their bookings or not?

The ship has been sailing full--it makes no difference to these passengers whether the ship goes to Nassau or Port Lucaya, the whole package is bundled as a Florida/Bahamas vacation. I suppose it's the first time on a ship for most of these people and frankly they don't know the difference between the two ports.

They've had a lot of slick advertising on TV for the local market in Florida, as well; those people are a minority but they do help to fill up the sailings.

Thanks Rich. I was on their WEBSITE and the property they use looks nice. I'm guessing food on the shore side package is extra but the price for a week wasn't bad. I havent ever been to Port Lucaya (didnt BRB use that a lot) or Freeport. Maybe one day...
