Star Cruises Ltd are proposing to change thier name to "Genting Hong Kong Ltd".

Great, now their will be no confusion as to what they do - I mean, just screams cruises at you .....................

The name makes actually sense since Star Cruises emerged from the Genting Group who is still shareholder of Star Cruises.

Did anyone ever think that they are only changing the name of the holding company?

The cruise ops would continue with the Star Cruises name.

Just like the case of ASIA STAR (ex-RADISSON DIAMOND). Now that she is in Singapore, her operator is named "Ben's Entertainment City", ship name remains as "ASIA STAR".
