quote:Originally posted by Corey H.:How come Pullmantur does not do cruises in the winter time besides the Caribbean? Do you think this will change in the future?
It does! Three of the company's ships (SOVEREIGN - ex OF THE SEAS, EMPRESS - ex NORDIC EMPRESS, EMPRESS OF THE SEAS and ZENITH) were chartered this past winter to Brazil's largest tour operator CVC, with which it has had a profitable relationship for several years.
Its latest addition PACIFIC DREAM (ex HORIZON, ISLAND STAR) is beginning year-round operations from Acapulco shortly.

There is no US website !
But, their website does have an English version !
quote:Originally posted by Jack McCoy: I contacted Royal Caribbean, who own Pullmantur, and they were almost no help at all. I even contacted Pullmantur; they sent me a brochure- in Spanish. Good luck to any American trying to book on Pullmantur. I tried.
I'm not sure why you would think Royal Caribbean would have information on Pullmantur? It would be like calling Carnival for information on AIDA. Yes, owned by the same parent company but that is about the extent of the relationship.
Pullmantur is not marketed in the US for various reasons, the most obvious being that most Americans would not enjoy the experience. It's geared to the Spanish almost exclusively. Anyway, if you are really interested in booking a Pullmantur cruise, you can call the US GSA at 1-888-7PULLMA.

Picasso Tours has a cruise arm...Picasso Cruises. This is a European wholesaler based in the US. I have been a travel agent for many years and booked clients on the Zenith this past summer via Picasso. In fact, Picasso was nice enough to send me a supply of Pullmantur brochures for the office I work in. I have a copy and treasure it.....!
But Picasso works on a year to year basis with these lines. Not sure if Pullmantur is on their roster for this year or next year.
Sorry for the confusion, yes they have an English site, but it is next to useless, that is what I meant to say
