for what it's worth, Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten has announced that the "c.Columbus" will disembark its world cruise passengers in Hodeidah, Yemen, December 10th. They will be flown to Dubai for a three-night stay at a five-star hotel and then flown to Salalah, Oman, to rejoin the ship there December 13th. In the meantime, the ship will dead-head through the Gulf of Aden with only the crew onboard.

Other than to revise a portion of her 'just started' Eastbound World Cruise and sail all the way back through the Med, and around Africa to Singapore instead of going through the Suez Canal she has little choice.
