Now I know our 2 intrepid journalist C'ters have heard of Google but I do sometimes wonder whether others have. This info is available for most lines online I expect.... I am not going to so their work, but HAL I know have it on their site I have used it before and a quick search even reveals MSC's which includes a breakdown of all the various cabins and facilities.
Reading the comments I do also wonder quite why a discount should be offered for a guide [or even provided] for a blind person?

Nearly every cruise line has this information online, UK lines included. Examples: Fred. Olsen, Island, Ocean Village, P&O, Thomson. It took me about two minutes (literally) to find all those.
And I think Jane has made herself a sitting target by some of the views expressed in her Telegraph article.
However, it would be unfair to pin responsibility on her for the comments added by readers of the column, especially the one critical of the non-availability of a discount for a carer.
That would be like blaming Malcolm for all the intemperate comments posted on CruiseTalk !
I assume this would be done for all mobility impaired individuals if it were humanly possible. Well done, Regent.
I read in the article that passengers told that they could not go on shore excursions because they where not able to get in the coach. Unbelievable because i saw in ketchikan that Princess as HAL and even RCCL handicap passengers where helped boarding there busses.
At the end my opinion i believe we must do everything so people with a handicap cane travel free and enjoy. BUT there are limitations and we must accept that fact (working with people with all sorts of handicap)
