First of all I think these celebrity chef's are overrated, but it is rather humorous that Todd English will be creating a signature menu for Delta Air Lines. As most of you know, Todd English has a restaurant on QM2 and I believe QV as well. Personally I feel it's a career mistake on his part, as airline food is basically reheated frozen dinners no matter how gourmet you try to make it. Frankly I would not want my name associated with it, but I suppose money talks. I suppose his sandwiches will be somewhat fresh, but the limits of airplane food are many and his creativity will be limited.

English is a native of Atlanta so naturally there is a connection with Atlanta's hometown airline. Probably good for Delta, but not so much for English or Cunard. I'm surprised Cunard did not limit the endorsements English could make to other companies in the travel industry.

Hungry fliers, Delta Air Lines has heard your growling stomachs.

The Atlanta-based carrier plans to begin selling sandwiches and salads on a handful of transcontinental flights in mid-September. It's the precursor to the main attraction, a pay-per-bite menu designed by celebrity chef Todd English that will start rolling out on long-haul flights in November.

Am I bold enough to say that Delta is becoming, well ...humane. Last time I flew Delta, I was pack in the middle seat of a wide body plane, a packed flights, to Atlanta where I was to wait 6 hours for the next Delta flight to Ft Lauderdale. There was no real meal, and this was a dinner time flight, the seats we cramped and not exactly in pristine condition....oh well 2 days later I am on Navigator of the Seas, and all Delta woes gone

Maxims of Paris was the chef of record for Pan Am back when. Ah I remember the skill and beauty with which the salted peanuts were wrapped for "Cat Z" US Govt pax!

And to top it off Todd has his own line of cookware that he sells on one of the TV shopping networks.
He shows up once in awhile for a few hours to sell his wares and they fly out the door.
Make the money will the iron (Skillet) is hot.
