Had an interesting newsletter arrive today from ecruising offering something I have never seen before.....
The 14 day Au/NZ cruise can now be done either 6 or 8 days.
Can't find it being offered on the P&O Australia site though!

indeed an intersting move... its only an advantage for customers as they have a choice of intineraries should they prefer to visit NZ ports or else they can enjoy the amenties onboard during the sea days.

I wonder if this will prove more popular with customers compared to HAL, RCI, Princess or Celebrity's 12-14 night options.

I believe the shorter cruise makes sense, especially since these trips are also being marketed to the North American Princess past passengers and include a nice land package as well.

Also, not everyone wants to go on a 12 - 14 day cruise, they may not have the time. 9 days works nice when you consider flying time to and from.

As for the Aus / NZ residents, again it's nice to have a choice other then 12 or 14 day. Increases the population who can afford such a trip.
