The CRYSTAL SYMPHONY is making a 17-day crossing on March 11, 2007, from LA to Hong Kong, only stopping at Honolulu en route. Lots of sea time on that trip, just like in the old days!

In late September, Sun Princess is sailing from Seattle, to Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, Fiji, and New Zealand and Australia. Very reasonable fares too, making a 31 day voyage affordable.

Princess have a repositioning cruise each April from Sydney, Australia to the USA. We are booked on Sapphire Princess in April 2008 31 nights from Sydney to Los Angeles. The 2007 one is Diamond Princess from Sydney to San Francisco.

We just completed a 22 day Sapphire Princess cruise from Vancouver, 9/9, 7 day Alaska, plus 15 day transpacific, to Beijing, 10/2, with 1 stop in Russia/Siberia and 3 stops in Japan.

Sapphire is scheduled to do a similar 22 day crossing in September, 2007!

FK, the 2007 Princess cruise you noted is on Sapphire, not Diamond.....Diamond completed the same cruise April, 2006.

Wow 17 days! What is her service speed? QE2 does the L.A.-Hawaii route in 3 days at 28-29 knots.

According to Crystal's own brochure, the SYMPHONY's cruising speed is 20 knots, her maximum is only 21 knots. So she's not a fast ship compared to many of them nowadays.

You can also check out P&O.
Oriana and Aurora usually do it each year. One year it was possible to cruise from the States to Australia on Aurora, spend a few days in Sydney then cruise back on Oriana, but they change the itinerary each year.
HAL also have a repositioning cruise and a World Cruise segment, and Celebrity are coming down this way as well.
