Pretty significant, given the still positive financials posted by RCCL and Carnival, the two giants in the industry, facing exactly the same market forces and operating challenges....StarCruises , to be sure, continues to take a good hard look at that NCL venture they got involved in a few years back.....It was in weak shape then, it is not a whole lot better now....the ol'saying comes to mind: you can paint a leopard's spots...but it still remains a leopard...

I'm not clear why fuel prices are an issue. UK lines like Thomson simply add a surchage to each cruise booking. If fact they probably generate a profit from it.
