Tell me I'm hallucinating about the ship in the pic on page 123 of the new one. I noticed it's really cropped in the 2006 one so you just see the stern. But this has twin buff funnels.

LOL! I do that all the time.

To be honest if I wasn't being tempted last night by Madeira and all those ships on New Year's Eve I'd never have even looked at the photo properly like I hadn't in the past.

I was just about to post my great discovery, that they'd used the same picture for the 2006 brochure, but cropped it more tightly. Then I re-read Patsy's original post:

Still, it make me wonder - how many years have they been using the same picture? Anyone got any older P&O brochures?

The reuse the same pics all the time. There's one of Oceana that was in her first ever brochure and on every calendar since... had a P&O calendar for this year? It's horrendous, all the pics I have either seen before or they are so doctored it's hilarious with the ships so out of proportion against the background views and so on. Very cheapskate. Considering all the fabulous photos of their ships online taken by thousands of cruisers, it wouldn't cost P&O much at all for a whole new series of photos, no need for a professional shoot.

This is indeed what makes this very common practice of using really, really bad photos hard to understand. They could buy some of these pictures - and obviously it is not that difficult to come up with some nice pictures - mind you that they also have a photographer aboard who could take a picture of the ship from time to time - some of them have to be suitable for a catalogue.
