quote:Originally posted by Ernst:The disadvantage of a ship is that it is more difficult to come and go - on a lot of conference participants do not attend the whole conference but come late or depart early. There are certainly events where most participants attend to whole event - but I am not so sure whether this is enough to fill such a ship.
We've discussed this before here on CT. A cruise company that would specialise in MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions and events industry) would certainly try to accommodate its guests the best way possible, even those wanting to come and go as they please (by tender or helicopter), but their main area of interest would be in those events where a company would charter the whole ship for several days or more. It's not going to happen (as already been said), but what's wrong with the bow and forward superstructure? She's not going to do Transatlantics. As long as she floats and is stable, and she has good seakeeping qualities why not go for a different look and design!
