For more information, this is on the web site of pricewaterhousecoopers (appointed liquidators of cruise control)

Cruise Control UK Limited - In Liquidation and Cruise Promotions Limited (Trading as Cruise Egypt) - In Liquidation 11/10/2005 11:53:00
Colin Haig and Ian Oakley-Smith were appointed Joint Liquidators of Cruise Control (UK) Limited and Cruise Promotions Limited on Monday 10 October 2005.

Cruise Control UK Limited was a call centre selling cruise holidays. The company was responsible for £90m worth of cruise revenue in the UK and operated from offices in Romford, Essex and Orlando, Florida. Cruise Promotions Limited was a tour operation specialising in cruise packages to Egypt and also operated from Romford, Essex.

Following the appointment of Joint Liquidators, both companies have ceased to trade with immediate effect, with the loss of around 230 jobs.

Important information for customers:

Cruise Control customers, currently on cruises or with future bookings, other than those who have booked their holiday through Cruise Egypt, should not be affected and should be able to continue with their holiday. In the first instance, such customers should contact the cruise line or tour operator with whom they are travelling should they have any queries.

Cruise Egypt customers are likely to be affected and should contact a helpline on 0845 7300190 (passengers who are overseas should call +44 (0)117 944 7722).

The Liquidators will be writing to all creditors in due course.
