A friend of mine told me that he saw the Triton, in all white under the name Coral.

She started operating in 13/5/2005. Lets wait for a review.

That is interesting, to be honest I never liked her in a dark bleu hull, it made the ship look older and stuffy. Triton was meant to have a white hull.

Can’t wait to see a picture.

When TRITON sailed with NCL as the SUNWARD II, she sported a white hull....

She looks smart in white!

Wayne, don’t forget her days as Cunard Adventurer (though some of her good looks were cut of by NCL)

I liked Triton in a dark hull color, made her look like a real ship (classic too) but I like old and stuffy ships my self
I'm just glad she is still sailing, I have a dream she went back too Cunard with a black hull BUT that's just a dream....

I think Triton was a better name, but it seems Louis is going after names related to sea or ocean as they have Aquamarine,Sapphire,Emerald,Coral whats next! Its pretty much a good bet Aegean 1 will be renamed too!

gpcruisedude - names are not sea related - they are all precious stones as were Topaz and Emerald.

Aegean I, perhaps Amethyst, or even Peridot. The rest are all as mec1 said, gemstones, and all except Coral are birthstones. Often with a Greek or sea legend.

Aquamarine - 'water of the sea' was believed to be the stone of the sea goddess and was used as a talisman by the sailors of yore. During the days of the Roman empire it was believed to prevent sea sickness and to cure stomach disorders.
According to some legends, it is the treasure of mermaids, with the power to keep sailors safe at sea

Emerald - name comes from the Greek "smaragdos" which means green stone. According to legend, the wearing of emerald not only cured a wide range of ailments, including low I.Q., poor eyesight and infertility, but also enabled the wearer to predict the future.

Sapphire - Ancient priests and sorcerers honored sapphire above all gems, enabling them to interpret oracles & foretell the future. In medieval times, the sapphire was also considered as an antidote against poison, cure bloodshot eyes, plague boils as well as preserve muscle strength.

Topaz - name derived from the Greek word meaning "to shine" and also implies "fire". The Greeks felt it gave them strength & drove away sadness. It supposedly cooled tempers, restored sanity, cured asthma, relieved insomnia and even warded off sudden death.

Coral - Changing colour warns of approaching ill health; A strong talisman against bleeding, evil spirits, and hurricanes.

Superb reading Guys and a befitting future for a much-maligned vessel. HER HISTORY has been checkered and crew members lost, Where is She registered, DNV throws all sorts of wobblers?

More indeed to follow.

The Perla looks awful in all white... With the white funnel uptakes, she looks very diminished... In contrast I always loved the Sun Princess in all white, but she looked so much better with that big chimney funnel.

Great pictures there Nicholas! Oh the PERLA and TRITON looks awkward in all white.....a orange/red racing stripe along the hull would be nice - something like this picture published on Louis' website.

Good to see the former fleetmates back together though!

Hmm - I liked her better in Epirotiki or ROC colors. Now there's just too much white for my taste.

Hope she'll do well with Louis !
