The publicity ball is rolling..

"13/09/2004 SKY ONE COMMISSIONS TWOFOUR TO FOLLOW THE LAUNCH OF EASYCRUISE

Twofour Productions has won its first major commission from Sky One to make a series which will go behind the scenes of the development and launch of easyGroup's latest venture, easyCruise. Filming starts this month on nineteen hours of programming which will air on Sky One, Sky One Mix and Sky Travel in 2005. Twofour will accompany serial entrepreneur Stelios Haji-Ioannou as he sets up his new easyCruise business. The programmes will uncover the secrets of Stelios's success and show how he can take an industry, shake it up and turn it into an exciting, new and affordable experience for his customers. And he'll be making TV stars of his staff and the 180 passengers of the first cruise in the process.

"This is a very exciting project for us," said Twofour's Charles Wace, "as we know that Stelios is keen to do to the cruise market what he did to airlines." Stelios added: "I am looking forward to working with Twofour and creating a warts-and-all TV series. I think it will be very entertaining and will show the viewing public how we have changed the relatively formal cruise industry into a fun, city-hopping by sea experience" "

and

"2/09/2004 FILMING FOR EASYCRUISE SERIES BEGINS

Filming on the new easyCruise series for Sky One started last week. Producer Charles Wace and director Neil Edwards travelled to Singapore to follow Stelios Haji-Ioannou's negotiations with three shipyards for the multi-million pound refit of the easyCruise ship. "

from Twofour Productioins.

and from the easyCruise site:-

"Sky One and easyGroup team up for new series
(07.09.04)

Sky One and easyGroup today announced a new series in which Sky One cameras
will follow the inception, development and launch of easyCruise - a new venture from Stelios the serial entrepreneur.

Aiming to revolutionise the cruise industry as he did with airlines, car rental, internet cafes (and hoping to do with many other industries in the future), easyCruise differs from traditional outfits in that passengers will experience seven different

Mediterranean destinations in as many days. Spending the night in port rather than at sea will give customers the opportunity to experience the nightlife of these exciting places. And Sky will be there to film them!

Filming begins with easyCruise's inception in autumn 2004 and will cover it's launch in early 2005. The series will air on Sky One in summer 2005."

I am looking forward to watching already.

Stelios attracts the partygoers while Sky adds the free publicity. Mmmh.

Since I don’t know what Sky broadcasts in the UK I can only speculate it to be based on one of those reality programs. There has to be some sort of control by Stelios or else there’s the possibility of undesirable material, detrimental to the business, going to air. Now you guys can make up your mind what that could be.

There are currently two options. The first is in Spanish waters - Tarragona, Barcelona, Valencia, Ibiza, Majorca and Minorca. The other option is along the Côte d'Azur and the Italian Riviera - St. Tropez, Cannes, Nice, Monaco, San Remo, Portofino, Livorno.

Edited from easyCruise press release: “easyCruise destination survey: please give us your choice” May, 14, 2004

Very appropriate itineraries, of the two in my opinion the Spanish is probably more suited to the partygoers. The French and Italian Rivieras have a more classy ring to them and I’m not sure that backpacker style partygoers will fit in (or wanted). Anyone want to enlighten me?
