Liquor puchased at the onboad store can be taken immediately and consumed in the cabin.
Liquor purchased but not delivered until debarkation can be bought at the "in cabin" price but less a 20% discount. These discounted prices matched those of St Maarten or Charlotte Amalie.
This change has proven to boost onboard store sales without any apparent loss of revenue sales in the lounges and bars.
Possibly other lines will soon pick up on this and stop the process of smuggling booze on board.
HAL does not give a discount on any liquour. If you purchase it in the shop and take it to your cabin for consumption they charge you either 10 or 20% surcharge.
Looks like Sunbird has a good deal going.

Just for the record, I believe those 2 litres would have cost about CA65.00++ quite a saving, eh?
We didn't waste port time shopping around for better prices and can't say that we saw too many people lugging bottles back on board. Did talk with some Princess and Celebrity cruisers and they were complaining about having to hand packages over until disembarkation.
