Regardless whether the widows file a lawsuit, NCL should give them the $51,000 immediately. That's chump change for a company of that size. It's inexcusable for that woman in the story to have to wait for almost a week to bury her husband.

Why do large corporations, cruise lines in particular, have to play hardball when it comes to shelling out dough? Like you said, it's chump change, why would they sweat that?

Yes, you can’t always believe what you read in newspapers (apart from in the UK’s Sun).

I do remember reading that the Titanic widows had to send there husbands spare uniforms back to White Star after the tragedy. I don’t know if that was true either?
