I am sure Green means the City, as the ship doesn't have a B&B!

Right on sympatico! - the information is for a friend who is hoping to spend a couple of days in Amsterdam prior to joining a tour.

Hello,
Have just returned from Amsterdam after spending three days there over the Easter period.We stayed at the Best Western Eden Hotel Amsterdam.A comfortable hotel,resonably priced,clean with friendly and helpful staff.The hotel is situated on the Amstel river and is within walking distance from most of the sights.It is also just round the corner from Rembrandt Square the location for many bars and restaurants and nightlife.The hotel is in a quiet location but within easy reach of nightlife if required.The hotel is nothing fancy but perfectly adequate and we plan on using it again next year.

and chosse your language.... then search for hotels in and/or round Amsterdam.

Hallsuk2 and Karsten - Thank you both for the suggestions - I passed them along and heard from my friend today - seems they have settled on the Eden House.

I seem to recall a nice Best Western in Basinstock (spelling)- jet lag, wrong side driving, etc. caght up with us - we were enroute from Heath Row to Devon and Cornwall.
