If one were to spend moderately big bucks, has anyone evaluated the relative costs of incremental expenses on say Cunard mid-Caronia class for drinks, tips, amenities and other pay-as-you go items, vs the all-in-one all-expenses covered in one macrotab on Silversea or Crystal?
I am not smoking a prohibited substance, when I consider the latter options.
Also, Joe, have the critics on Ship's Reviews actually been on ALL the ships in a given fleet? I refer to identical reviews of several of the Crystal ships, which indicate a "one size fits all" outlook.
I have ben reading their reviews of Crystal and Silversea, which give a strong edge to Silversea.

Caronia Class vis a vis Seabourn or Silversea.. or even Radisson for that matter...... depends on the voyage, time of year, etc.. and various promotions at hand..... and whether one is traveling single or double.
For this single.. Seabourn, Silversea and Radisson often come in as "better buys".

Cambodge,
No, the critics/reviewers haven't been on every ship in every fleet. In general, profiles of ships we haven't been on are based on feedback from "trusted sources" who have been on those ships. Ocassionally, we will apply a review of a sister ship to a new ship until we have more up-to-date or compete information.

I would recommend Silversea over Cunard or Crystal any day when you look at cost vs service.
Now I must be off to buy my lottery tiecket!
