I honestly don't know why you feel the need to apologise. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Perhaps all of us Carnival fans were a bit hard on you...

Britanis is right! You have no reason to apologize. Many people (including myself) appreciate your comments, even though we may not always agree with them. Just keep being yourself and calling 'em as you see 'em!

Hey... ten days to go...

Here, Here!! I agree no need to apologize. If everybody agreed on everything it would be pretty dull. Just because I happened to disagree ( and not totally either) on this aspect doesn't mean I won't relish our future exchanges on what old ship should be saved and what we would like to do with it ect. And what color we would paint it LOL

No need to apologize, Dambrosi. You are entitled to your opinions and they are what count.

Some time ago, on another board, I asked the question "Why are Americans so reluctant to obtain a passport". Well, some people really chewed my head off and now I bet all those same people are running to get their passports.

Hey i didn't get a passport till I REALLY needed it cause it's EXPENSIVE! 60+ bucks a person. Why pay that when your birthcertificate will do.

$60 US - that's not expensive and yours are good for 10 years. A Canadian one is only good for 5 years and I believe they have gone up to $85.00 Cnd. I paid $65.00 Cdn last year for mine. Well worth the money!

Hi, I'm here. I've been working and when I work in retail and some long hours
on top of that, I disconnect
my web tv so no power surges
disconnect me forever.
Thank you. It's just that I
felt that I made too many people who love Carnival too
upset. We have enough escalations around the world. I'm glad once again
that you appreciate my opinions. Sometimes I over do it. Say Geno-R, I'm bringing some red paint with
me this time next Sunday. Anybody you want me to use
it on? LOL
As to the passport issue. I
have had one for a while. I
like it because it shows where I've been. As if I don't take enough photos to
prove it LOL. But it reminds
me of the cruises we've done.
Thank all of you again for
your support. And love too.
Sounds like we need to pass
some Bartles and James, anybody have some? LOL

For our European Members:

"Bartles and Jaymes" were purveyors of an eponymous wine cooler beverage that was immensely popular in the US during the mid 1980’s. (you may recreate the experience by combining equal parts of cheap Liebfraumilch and orange Fanta) Thankfully, American tastes have developed somewhat since then, and we rarely get the hankering for this fluid unless Duran Duran happens to be playing on the radio.

Oh, no you don't need to apologise.
If anything I've really learned a lot from your posts.
Mainly, I've learned that I'm going to have to cruise something besudes a CARNIVAL ship to see what REAL cruising is all about. While I loved Carnival and the ship was beautiful, it was really just Las Vegas afloat. And I can go to Las Vegas anytime.
Reading your posts made me want to see the OLDER ships with the brass and mahogany and the things that we see in the old movies. Elegance and luxury, etc.
We need your opinions. While I love other cruise boards there is no dimension to the posts. Everyone is "Carnival, Carnival, rah, rah, rah!!!" Which is fine but I rarely learn anything different.
The accountant, my significant other, always says that Carnival is the BEST value for the money for the average American family so of course it's going to be popular but if we can AFFORD more and want to see and do more then there is a whole world of cruiseing out there that I wouldn't even be aware of if not for posts like yours.
Feel free, Dambrosi to speak your mind.

Katie...go to www.orientlines.co.uk and get the brochures. Look at the Marco Polo and take a REAL ship, say around the Baltic/Norwegian Fjords. Good prices + not a lot for getting to the ship.

Thank you Katie!!! I did'nt realize the full impact until I read further from others on this forum. And Gohaze is right, if I could I would LOVE to sail the MARCO POLO. I wish it were here.
