Help! Does anyone know what has happened to the Renaissance ships? Have they been sold yet?

Welcome aboard! As far as I'm aware they are all still laid-up, looking for a buyer.

It would be a brave cruise line that would buy additional ships, in the present climate of the travel indusrty.

According to my sources here the latest:
the two small Ren ships were bought by a HongKong ship owner, who is said to not want to operate them, but rather sit tight until such time the market turns and sell them again for a profit.
R-8 has been bought by Altshom/Chanteire d l'Atlantique, just to protect their exposure to them. they are now in negotiations with a potential charterer.
R-7 auction is still to come
The other ships will most likely also go to Altshom.
What do you think:
CostaAttica Cruises a new J/V said tehy would start a new crusie venture in the western med. with two ships. perhaps two R-Class vessels ??????

According to CruiseMates all of the Renaissance vessels were sold at auction. Can anybody tell me who purchased R-1, R-2,
R-3, R-4, R-5 and R-6 ?
