Our family is booked on Costa for a Christmas cruise. I have seen lots of specials for sailings until Decemmber 16, and our final payment is due next week. Has anyone got any advice on getting a better fare? I thought of canceling this voyage and waiting to see what's available but I really need this vacation!!

Christmas/New Years cruises are always more expensive and usually the week before, like December 16th is cheaper. You are not going to get a cheaper cruise at Christmas. I wouldn't cancel - you may not get a cabin as the ships are normally full over the holiday season. Don't know about this year - but they were last. We booked in March of 2000 for our Christmas 2000 cruise.

We book every year at this time. Our kids usually get out of school to take advantage of the 16th-but not this year. I am going to ask the ta to check the fares at final payment.

Don't cancel make sure your TA will drop the price if it changes. But.... we had a x-mas cruise booked and it dropped 250 a person ( i was suprised cause as you said final pmt due next week) and we had a good rate before so just keeps your eyes open and be aware. Pam

Which line are you on that dropped the price? We haven't heard anything yet.
I'd love to know which ship and call my ta. Thanks
