I have just heard from one of my former accounts that for those clients flying into Fort Lauderdale to join a cruise, that Seabourn is no longer doing comp overnights...what do you guys make of this...can things really be that bad down there that a luxury line is not able to offer this?????

Would love to hear your thoughts and ideas....

Does Crystal offer these sort of perks to its passengers? I think i have read that SilverSeas does?? Cunard (former partner with Seabourn) has charged for these overnights in the past; so, this isn't anything new for them; altho, you say that wasn't the case with Seabourn prior to its purchase by Carnival and pairing with Cunard.

When Silversea does your air, you are routinely flown in the previous day and given a night at a 5-star hotel. I'm going on their transatlantic from Dublin on 9/11, and am getting a night at the Four Seasons Dublin on 9/10.

I did a Crystal Harmony from Acapulco to New Orleans a couple years ago and they flew me (and numerous others on the cruise from various locations) to Houston, put us up in the Marriott over night with meals (all free) and then flew us on a scheduled airliner to Acapulco. I asked why they didn't just fly us direct to Acapulco and they said they wanted us to arrive early enough and not have any jet lag with a shorter flight. Nice cruise, too...
