As you know there are no small luxury ships to Alaska anymore (the smallest is the Mariner at 700 pax).

How do you think lines like Silversea or Seabourn (or Radisson with Song of Flower)would do if they did these again? It as been a few years since Seabourn has been in this market.

it seems as though we will have at least one luxury smaller ship visiting in the fall....she is the "spirit of oceanus" of cruise west lines ex "renaissance IV" i believe. next year i think the "silver cloud" will be sailing alaska for 2002 after looking at the cruise atlas with her around japan during may....renaissance has also looked at sending one ship up there too....but it has something to do with permits so they will be here within a couple of years....jeff

Jeff according to a Silversea recent publication (Spring 2001) Silver Cloud is in the Orient, the Far East and the South Pacific in summer 2002 and none of their other ships are in Alaska either.

....ohhh yea....the "bremen" of hapag lloyd will be visiting alaskan glacier's for a month too.....hmmmmm....who else?....it's great....vancouver will be receiving 7 maiden arrival's this alaskan season...wow!!...
